The RC12HD is designed for use with 10 to 13mm (⅜” to ½”) short link chain combined with 16 to 22mm (⅝” to 7/8”) nylon rope. This design is particularly well suited to light duty commercial vessels requiring high service speeds, eg patrol vessels, as the reduced weight of the rope/chain combination removes weight from the bow. The 38mm (1½”) main shaft is manufactured in high strength corrosion resistant 2205 Duplex stainless steel (AISI 316) and the above deck components in AISI 316 stainless steel, providing excellent corrosion resistance and highly polished finish.
